Supporting Members After the Climate Assembly Ends: How to Nurture Action

The Knowledge Network on Climate Assemblies has released new guidance, co-authored by Pete Bryant of Shared Future. Their new report, “Supporting Members After the Climate Assembly Ends: How to Nurture Action” aims to help commissioners, organisers and funders to consider how structured support can become part of the climate assembly process.

When climate assemblies and juries end, many members feel empowered by the experience. But support is rarely in place for them to take action. This is a missed opportunity to enhance impact. The report considers how to amplify climate action, foster inclusivity and maintain the momentum of assembly recommendations.

To launch its report KNOCA is holding an online event on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 3:00pm – 4:00pm (GMT)

At this launch event, you’ll hear from co-authors Peter Bryant, Graham Smith and Morten Friis, who will introduce how different types of action that can flow from assemblies can be supported.

This is your chance to:

  • Consider the value and importance of supporting members once an assembly ends
  • Learn about the different types of actions that members have taken post-assembly
  • Reflect on the different types of support that need to be put in place to ensure post-assembly actions are effective and equitable
