A free one hour online lunchtime learning workshop to explore the potential in Pride in Places areas (and within other local regeneration initiatives) of adopting the democratic practise of Participatory Budgeting, one of the suggested interventions under the Pride in Places community power guidance.
Exploring how to undertake a community grant making process, and also give residents a fair, democratic and active decision making role, over larger sums of public money.
Delivered by Jez Hall of Shared Future CIC, and linked to his recent blog on the topic, available on the Shared Future News page. Shared Future CIC have been supporting participatory budgeting processes for over 15 years, at different scales and in many different communities.
