Zahra Wynne
associate
Zahra joined Shared Future as an Associate in 2024, after working in partnership with them on a Citizens Jury on public safety and policing in Liverpool.
Having spent almost a decade working in the voluntary sector in the UK and abroad, Zahra specialises in working with people with lived experience of marginalisation to influence policy and practice. Her previous work has focused on people in contact with the criminal justice system, neurodivergent people, and young adults who frequently come into contact with the police. Zahra is skilled at getting decision makers and those at the sharp end of marginalisation in the same room to come up with solutions to entrenched issues.
Zahra has also spent over two years working in India, conducting research and providing advocacy on access to abortion, contraception and maternal care in Rohingya refugee camps and in Northeastern states experiencing insurgency.
