Saying Goodbye to Maria Lucien

Maria has been central to our expanding work over the last 18 months, making sure that our deliberative processes run smoothly and citizens feel supported throughout.

Maria has now moved on to a new role with the global People Powered organisation, with whom we collaborate closely. She’ll be helping to develop and expand their Resource Centre, a collection of guides, toolkits and research that can inform best practice in participatory processes. Most recently she’s been in Mexico, at their Members Convening, meeting people from around the globe and helping set their future work programme.

Maria sent us this message, expressing how she felt about leaving Shared Future:

While I’m really excited to begin this next chapter of my career, it’s also a little bittersweet – you have all been such wonderful colleagues, and I’ve learnt so much from each and every one of you.

Thank you all for being so kind, thoughtful, and encouraging over the last 18 months – you’ve made it an incredible experience and I want to express how grateful I am to have worked with you. I hope to stay in touch, and perhaps we’ll work together again soon! Take care :-) “

On behalf of all our directors and associates, we’ll certainly miss having Maria as part of our team. And excited that we’ll shortly be announcing her replacement.

2023 has begun busier than ever at Shared Future CIC, and we all look forward to continuing to grow our work.
