Community Enterprise Checker: free website

The Community Enterprise Checker is a free tool to help you assess the health of your community enterprise. Complete the questions and see how your organisation scores – plus you’ll get a personalised report with key recommendations on getting ready for financial investment.

The service is provided by Locality, with partners the Plunkett Foundation and UnLtd. It defines a community enterprise as:

… a business that is owned and operated by the local community, that is designed to maximise community participation and involvement, aims to stimulate and encourage community entrepreneurialism, and is expected to become financially self- sustaining over time.

The Enterprise Checker is part of the community enterprise support funded by the Big Lottery Fund in association with Power to Change, including expert guidance, the Power to Change Community Network and other opportunities for learning.
