Alex King

Alex is a freelance communications professional and journalist based in Manchester, with experience working on projects aimed at democratic participation and tackling the climate emergency. He manages communications and marketing for Shared Future.

Alex supports clients to share and amplify their work through reviews of objectives, strategies and targets, and practical support in the delivery of targeted marketing plans. He has helped manage communications campaigns for organisations such as the Greater Manchester Community Led Homes hub and the Retrofit Get-in Project, and he currently also manages communications and marketing at The Meteor.

Alongside his communications work, Alex has written for The Independent, Tribune and Red Pepper on the climate crisis and political economy.
