The North of Tyne Citizens’ Assembly is one of the best public engagements I have been involved in. Delivering the whole thing online was a real challenge – the skill and care that Shared Future, in particular Jayne MacFadyen and Peter Bryant, took to ensure everyone was able to take part has to be commended.”

North of Tyne Combined Authority
“I wanted to thank you and the team for choosing me for this group. I found it incredibly interesting and I was honestly blown away by the support, trust and determination that the team had to help combat climate change. It made me really quite proud to say that I live in this borough and I, once again want to thank you for the opportunity.”

Being a member of the Central Blackpool Health and Wellbeing Inquiry has been nothing short of inspirational. Working together with the residents has broken down so many personal and system driven barriers that have stifled change in the past.
Now we see residents filled with confidence and recognising the power they have to influence change and how I as a commissioner can and have contributed to these positive changes.
It has been an absolutely fantastic experience for me personally and professionally.
I can’t wait to move forward with this asset based community development in our other neighbourhood in Blackpool and also continue to support the residents in central west to positively change their community.

Thanks for such a brilliant workshop. You had high energy and were excited about crowdfunding – the rest of us became so too.

Speaking with Jez at Shared Future was a real eye-opener for us. He helped structure our ideas in a very skilful way, and advised us how our cooperative might grow. He was generous with his time, and clear with his advice. His expertise has been invaluable. Thank you!

“They have done our Wirral Alcohol Citizens’ inquiry very ably, and through listening, learning, discussion and debate they have produced a highly useful list of recommendations for action, including a number of practical and perceptive proposals.”
Fiona Johnstone, Director of Public Health,
Wirral Borough Council.
The Action Learning sessions have been really beneficial; the sessions create a safe and supportive network where you feel comfortable to share the highs and lows of taking the exciting challenge of becoming self-employed. Laurie Smith did an excellent job guiding us through the process whilst allowing us to develop our own skills in Action Learning. I would highly recommend attending these sessions, our group have continued to meet and support each other as colleagues.

I want to thank Alan Budge very much for his excellent guidance and support to Perth and Kinross Council, our health colleagues and the Carers Strategy Group in making our ideas around Participatory Budgeting (PB) a reality! From the beginning Alan spelt out with clarity, the vision as well as the practical reality of PB, and his personal involvement and engagement has helped us make the event today a real success.

Your sessions for the ICLD-UNCDF Advanced International Training Programme on Participatory Budgeting, delivered by Jez Hall, were highly valued by the participants.
Both myself and my colleagues were impressed by your very knowledgeable, clear and well prepared work.
